Join us for a half day of mindfulness at Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens, where you will be invited to learn about the Buddhist teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh that correspond to the practice of using a bell of mindfulness in your life and daily meditation practice. There will be exercises that focus on personal transformation and realization during this retreat. We will engage in exercises of contemplation, humor, and 1:1 sharing. Practices include guided sitting meditation, mindful movement, with a section including hands on experience with the bell of mindfulness, how to awaken it, and how to embody it in the myriad things of life. There will be opportunities to explore the grounds at Jenkins Arboretum throughout the day.

The retreat will be led by Dr. Katie Hammond Holtz, Ordained Senior member of the Plum Village Order of Interbeing, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher, and Licensed Psychologist, with Dr. Kevin Siddons, Ordained member of the Plum Village Order of Interbeing and NQA Certified Qigong Advanced Instructor, Level III.
